What is a Snail Cam?

Animatronics before the electronic era were basic childrens toys/trinkets made of simple materials which children from the Victorian age played with. Simple gears hidden by a box made little creatures and scenarios come to life up top. We decided to incorporate one of these first steps towards today's robots into our design with a snail cam. The reason for a snail cam is simply because it will allow the eject-able arm to 'pop' out and back in.
